Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an MBBS Doctor based in Bengaluru. The doctor will provide confidential consultations to clients with sexual health concerns, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of STIs and related conditions, following evidence-based protocols. Daily responsibilities include taking detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations as needed, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing appropriate treatment. The role involves offering non-judgmental counseling, educating clients on safe sexual practices, and ensuring they understand their treatment plans and follow-up requirements. The doctor will document all encounters accurately in clinical records, coordinate with counselors and laboratory partners, participate in case discussions, and support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the clinic.
Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution with valid medical registration (Karnataka Medical Council or equivalent); post-graduate qualifications in Dermatology, Venereology, Gynecology, Psychiatry, or related fields are an advantage.
- Clinical expertise in sexual health, including assessment and management of STIs, HIV, contraception, and related counseling; experience in outpatient or clinic-based practice preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, maintain strict confidentiality, and provide non-judgmental, inclusive care to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to take detailed histories, interpret lab results, document cases accurately, and follow evidence-based clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Comfort working with digital tools and electronic medical records; openness to teleconsultations or hybrid care models if needed.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, continuous learning, and staying updated with current guidelines in sexual and reproductive health.
- Ability to work collaboratively with counselors, operations staff, and lab partners, and to manage time efficiently in a high-responsibility clinical environment.
